Is it really possible to hypnotize people or are they just faking the experience?

Hypnosis is not the result of a “faked” experience. It is amazing how many people will say, “I don’t believe in hypnosis.” These comments can come from educated people with strong confidence of disbelief. The best illustration of hypnosis and of how real it is on stage is when someone is hypnotized so that they can go through an entire hypnosis show and not laugh. The entire audience is bursting out in laughter throughout the show, but the hypnotized subjects on stage are not responding to the laughter.

The hypnotized subjects on stage are acting as if they have a professional ability to keep a straight face. They are staying within the show by focusing on the hypnotist’s voice, and commands.

This is evidence of the focused state created by hypnosis. The audience will burst into laughter time and time again since shows can be hilarious, but the subjects will be stone faced as if not even hearing or seeing the humorous scenarios and situations.
