If you are looking for adventures then Banos, Ecuador is truly a wonder to find. It is considered to be the adventure capitol of Ecuador. While in Banos you can step it up another notch by going whitewater rafting on the Pastaza River which is one of the gateway rivers into the Amazon. We took the trip with the guide Wonder Ecuador and it was a thrill beyond fathom. The river was incredibly challenging as the water was up and we were on Class 4 rapids which are not for the faint of heart. Adrenaline is amazing and this is an adrenaline ride of a lifetime. Our guide was outstanding as he kept us in check which is what was needed for the river. When you do catch your breath, you have a chance to gaze upon the majestic canyons of the Amazon Basin.
