If you step outside of the glitz and roar of Las Vegas you can find Red Rock Canyon. This can be one of the quietest places on earth, which is not what you think of when you think of Las Vegas. Red Rock Canyon, is literally just 16 miles west of the Strip and has some outstanding hiking, climbing and biking. Stare off into a sunset or get there for the early morning sunrise and it is even better. There is quiet and then there is desert quiet, which can almost play tricks on your senses.
Orcas Island is a ferry ride away from the mainland or you can take Kenmore Air to fly directly onto the small little island in NW Washington. I chose to take the flight and the views are worth it for sure. If you get some time you can see the Orcas just off the island, but I wasn’t able to partake as I had a hypnosis show to perform at for the evening. There were some hilarious students who were hypnotized for the all class graduation event. Orcas is a far off place, but worth the trip!

The world heritage site is an illustration of an old trading port with beautiful buildings that have been well preserved. If you are looking to buy anything then you are in the right place as limitless shops abound selling anything from tailored clothing to the best leather made goods. The Hoi An night market will take you by surprise with all of the amazing lanterns on full display.
Take a step into a calm and quiet beach town area of Lang Co, Vietnam. After driving halfway up the mountain out of Da Nang, you will go through a 4 mile tunnel that brings you out to a majestic seaside mountainous beach area of Vietnam. A truly calm and quiet area awaits!
The wonder of Angkor Wat. What a truly lost city revealed when you travel to Angkor Wat, Cambodia which is in Siem Reap. Angkor Wat is a Hindu-Buddhist temple complex that is considered the biggest religious site in the world by land size.
I was lucky enough to be able to see the temples via a bike tour that takes you throughout the archeological and artistic experience of seeing this lost kingdom. As we woke at 4:30 to bike into the edge of Angkor Wat, we took a small path through the jungle with overhanging vines. By the time 5:45 am hit, we say the many tourists lining the walled temple edge to get the best view of the sunrise against the moat surrounding the temples. You could spend days walking about or biking between the sites and you’ll still feel as if you could look for more. Adventure awaits.
In order for the hypnotist’s suggestions to be effective, they must be stated in the positive. What does one focus on if you are given the command, “Don’t run!” You focus on running! Your mind thus perceives running if you say, “Don’t run.” It would be better to simply state, “Walk Slowly.” Direct commands are always more effective in hypnosis. Here are some examples of positive commands: ~Relax deeply, ~Allow your body to relax, ~ Breathe deeply, ~ Focus on my voice and only the sound of my voice.
